Lean UX in the context of Community Agile Development
Kanopi Studios and CoDA discuss challenges and methodology in a breakout session at the Non-Profit Summit, BADCamp 2015
Developed over 5 years in Drupal 7.x, Mukurtu CMS 2.0 is an award winning, open source platform developed to help indigenous communities fully manage their own digital heritage. It responds to the core desires of tribal nations to maintain sovereignty in the backdrop of colonialist misappropriation of their culture for generations.
The 2.0 build was a partnership with Kanopi Studios who took a Lean UX & Design approach, focusing on function than fashion. In this breakout session we will discuss how to leverage this methodology. We will talk about the steps involved and tips and tricks. We will dive into best practices on crafting smart user stories, functional specs and getting stakeholder buy-in. Come to learn how to build, test, iterate and find more project success by doing things the Drupal way.
