Support Cultural Heritage and Archaeology by donating to CoDA
The Center for Digital Archaeology is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting understanding and valuing of our diverse cultural heritage through digital technologies. CoDA’s mission is to design and realize innovative programs to document and share archaeological and historical collections, and to provide professional development for cultural heritage and cultural resource management.
Donating to CoDA is 100% tax-deductible. Your contributions enable us to fund community archives and digital exhibit projects, expand and maintain our training program, and grow our internship program that involves students and life-long learners.

Support our training program
CoDA partners with Codifi, Inc., the W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research, Archaeology Podcast Network, and Professional Certification for Scientists (PCS) to provide relevant training for archaeology projects, archiving needs, and digital imaging wishes. The classes are taught by top-level experts and are offered at a very reasonable fee. We also offer two free scholarship opportunities for students for each class. Expanding the training offer and maintaining the program is a lot of work that cannot be funded by fees alone, as we want to keep our fees very reasonable for everybody to being able to attend. So, donate generously and make it possible for many students in archaeology and young professionals to learn up-to-date archaeological methods! I want to support the training program!
Adopt a Project!
CoDA is supporting and co-funding a number of valuable projects. Check the links below and contribute anything you can to support them. Remember that CoDA’s tax-exempt status extends to these donations as well, so your gifts will be tax deductible.
Help preserve Karuk Culture
The Karuk Tribe and CoDA have created Sípnuuk, an online digital library to manage, share and enhance understanding of Karuk history, language, traditions, natural resources, and living culture. Your money can go towards: 1) digitization and publication in Sípnuuk of new collections, or 2) training of Karuk museum and library staff. Email us at email@example.com to learn more and contribute.
Adopt a site: Beita Semati, Ethiopia
The Southern Red Sea Archaeological Histories (SRSAH) project, a Johns Hopkins University research collaboration with CoDA, combines investigations of ancient Africa with local community development. We are currently seeking support to erect multi-lingual signage, construct a shelter over part of the site, and build a small museum that makes the area more attractive and informative to both local visitors and international tourists. Email us at to learn more about the project.
Thank you for your support
There are other ways to support CoDA. We are always accepting in-kind donations, such as equipment, as well as volunteers and interns. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to get involved.
